Date Difference Calculator

Subtract the earlier date from the later date. This calculator handles month-length variations and leap years automatically. For example, January 1 to March 1 is 59 days in a regular year and 60 days in a leap year.

By convention, date difference counts the days between two dates, not including the start date but including the end date. For example, January 1 to January 3 = 2 days.

A regular year has 52 weeks and 1 day (365 days). A leap year has 52 weeks and 2 days (366 days). This is why the same date falls on a different day of the week each year.
